About Chelsea

I'm a Brooklyn-based design leader for products that empower creative work—whether that’s facilitating collaborative workshops to improve newsroom workflows, shaping the user experience of self-service analytics for reporters, or designing inventory tools for car industry professionals.

I'm currently a Principal Designer for internal tools and design systems at TEGNA, a local broadcast company serving 56 markets across the county. Prior to TEGNA, I led design strategy for creator tools at The Washington Post, documented delivery journeys at Vroom, and created an atomic design system for McClatchy's 30 local news sites.

My design process and leadership style encompasses a strong focus on user research, systems thinking, and documentation. I am passionate about improving how creators of all kinds work together and foster a team that prioritizes deep creativity and personal growth.

Outside of work, I create mixed-media paintings inspired by my favorite music and places. I love yoga, fantasy novels, cooking new recipes, and rewatching Gilmore Girls.
